Little Art Bank (the LAB), is a center where individuals from all walks of life, creative and cognitive abilities, can come and learn new skills to build confidence and bring joy. We are a program of Art of Recycle, a 501(c)3 Non Profit Organization. Lifelong art teacher Sam Little has taken her vision and partnered with Art of Recycle (Ephrata) to bring this new arts community to Hanover. The LAB’s goal is to help individuals by encouraging them discover their creative gifts. This project is just getting started but plans to offer a variety of classes, opportunities to volunteer, and hope for people of all abilities.
LITTLE ART BANK MISSION STATEMENT
To provide all individuals with the resources to express their creativity and purpose through the arts.
ART OF RECYCLE MISSION STATEMENT
The Art of Recycle is located in Ephrata . Their mission is "To develop, heal and grow community through recycled art. We aim to inspire more art and assist artists in developing skills for art creation by using and re-using the available resources around them. Our objective is to teach people how to create "art with purpose" reusing discarded, unwanted, and excess items; creating generations of artists and crafters who are more environmentally conscious. "
Can an art store be more than just a place to buy supplies? We think so! We accept donations of gently used and unwanted art supplies, and then sell our surplus at a fraction of the original cost. We also offer workshops for free and low cost! We also use the donations for classes, workshops, in our free crafting area as well as or free teacher resource area. Finding new homes and uses for discarded items is not only financially thrifty-its keeping items out of the landfills as well.
We offer classes all year round in many subject areas. Take a look at our current class link to see what we have to offer! We also offer one time workshops and a free craft area for kids to have fun time creating.
